Do many of you get the "server too busy" this time of the night or is it just us folks using slow old dial up? It seems to be a problem from 7 - 9 pm many evernings. That must mean that fte is really popular.
I rarely get that message but those times you posted Del are high traffic times. The first time I replied to your post I got the server is too busy message.
Webmaster has installed a bunch of new equipment to handle the volume but the people keep coming.
Interesting, I got the message several times while trying to update this reply.
Haven't noticed to much but when I do it is usually around the 6 to 9 time period. I think that Ken keeps adding space and servers but FTE adds members each day and I heard there are well over 4000 posts added daily. More changes are in the works I believe that will help ease the access problems.
Glad to know I'm not the only one. It is frustrating, but I also understand and am not really complaining. I'll just have to try later or earlier if the "line is busy" as we used to say in the old party line days.
I get the message occaisionally but usually if I try again right away i have no problem. Minor inconvenience sometimes but not a major problem. It's just good to know there are that manym ore people who love Fords.

Thats for sure! I just checked the Chebbie site and kept getting this message. " Please stay on the line Server is empty"
Rollie, great response. Now, where is that chebbie site? I can't find it. Maybe I have the name spelled wrong or maybe it is no longer there from lack of interest.
Ha Ha -Now Rollie's computer has Cheby cooties! It will probably never run again, just like a Cheby.
We are constantly adding equipment and tweaking the site to improve it. Some of this experimentation causes occasional slowdowns. We have also had to re index the user galleries lately which slows the server down. Some of the tweaks we make are to improve revenue which allows us to add more hardware, improve software, and expand the site. Same old perpetual problem for any small business. This site costs $$$ to run and the ads that everyone complains about provide this revenue. We also constantly battle spiders and web crawlers looking for email addresses, -yet many users continue to try to post email addresses and add to our problems...
Eric, Thanks for the response and it is helpful to know the issues you all face. I wasn't complaining and just wanted to know if dial up was maybe an issue. I really appreciate the site and the service you provide. The ads are sometimes a pain, but if I'm looking for something they are useful and a small inconveniece for all the pluses. Keep up the good work!!!
