2005 F350 question...
Ok, I am getting a new 05 PSD thanks to a buyback. That being said I get to pick my new pickup. I want to know what the motor build date should be to get the most up to date engine out there. I know they have done a lot of refinements on the 6.0 but I need to know what month the most updated motor was put into the new trucks. Any help is MUCH appreciated. The reason I ask is they have a few different truck the newest from like 10/04 and the newest is 01/05. Thanks guys (and girls).

Don't know of any changes to the motor, but the're always releasing new 'flashes' for the computer. Real problem is any '05 transmission built before 12/10/04 is going to be recalled and rebuilt by the dealer to change an internal snap ring. check these thread: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=324900

isn't it nice to know your brand new truck is going to get a rebuilt tranny by someone at your local dealer? tranny date is on tranny under drivers side. good luck

Ok, theres a start! I am going to drive these guys nutz! (not intentionally), too bad I am doing my homework so I dont get another Edit Any other info is much appreciated!

They are trying to tell me I have to take it from their inventory because ordering it will take too long. The ford rep said I have 30 days to take advantage of the offer, I am more than willing to be cool about it but they do not have anything newer than a build date of 11/04. I think I am going to try to get an extension from Ford so I can order exactly what I want. Anybody think this could be feasible?
