Apparently this bug isn't related to Internet Explorer.
Tip of advice: Manually type in your URL when going to secure sites rather than clicking on a link in a website or in an E-mail because the URL you might see in the "Address Bar" might look like "htt<! >p://ww<! >w.securesite123.com" but really is "ht<! >tp://127.0.0.1/" since the acclaimed almighty Firefox transfers text between Latin and Cyrillic alphabet. If you type in your URL manually you have nothing to worry about.
That problem affects all non-IE browsers, but mainly it affects users that just blindly click on links presented to them in email or bogus sites. There is no protection against stupidity.
