I'll post here since it's not Ford related...it's concerning a ...ugh...(wince, gulp, wince) 93 Dodge Caravan. Hey, it was a package deal..it came with the wife. No mechanics can look at it for several weeks and I need the vehicle. The electric fan doesn't come on and it subsequently overheats when I try and run the AC (Live in Hawaii). I hooked the elec/fan straight to the battery and it works fine. Both my Haynes books don't show my electrical configuration. I've got something odd...I've got 4 electrical relays on the fender and my books only show/referance 3. It's somehow tied in with a coolant sensor (it passed the bench check) and the AC electrical circuit. The iffy schematic isn't detailed enough to go beyond that. I did do the engine diagnostic (key on, key off X 3) and it came up with "AC clutch relay bad". Could that be the problem? I've got one on order...be here in about a week. I've ohm checked the harness as much as I could without totally dissasembling the engine compartment and dash...everything checks good. Anybody got any experiance with this sort of thing? If I leave the AC off it doesn't overheat unless I get caught in traffic...which is too often. Don't mean to insult by posting a non-Ford question, but you guys have really helped me in the past, and I'm in a bit of a bind right now. Even if you tell me and my Dodge to get lost, thanks anyway.
