2.5 inch hitch

When I ordered my new f350 dually with a trailer hitch I didn't realize it would come wirh a 2 1/2" socket receiver. My hitches are all 2". I know I can get an adaptor.
I did read in a post somewhere Ford was supplying a 2" adaptor with this hitch. Can anyone tell me if thet got this adaptor with their new truck.

That will be good info to have handy as I suspect the question is going to come up more and more.

I'd be bummed to back my new truck up to the trailer only find out that my fancy expensive weight distributing hitch doesn't fit the receiver!

Your truck should have came with a 2 1/2 to 2 inch adapter, should have been behind the rear seat with the hitch keeper pin also.

My 05 came with the adapter and pin. When I bought my truck the adapter and pin were already in the hitch.

Thanks for the info. My truck did come with the pin in the receiver but no adaptor. Will see if the dealer will get me one. I'm glad I spotted this before I had to haul my farm trailer.
