WIsh I could flash, gonna have trouble holding this one together, let alone one that really flows with feelings. If it was anyone but this guy, I probably could. The whole world is at a loss when we lost this kid,
77hiboy:
Don't worry about losing it, holding it together. Emotions show the love we had/have, and are NOTHING to be ashamed about. They're a tribute to your friend. Let them come if need be, and take your time. Real folks, and REAL men will understand, and appreciate.
Flash has a point, to a point. Eulogies can be very different, but they all want to capture the essence of the departed. Anecdotes that bring out the character and personality of your friend will stir memories in the others who knew him. Sometimes a story about something he did that surprised you and showed a new side to him will give others a new depth of knowledge...not all who will be there knew him as you did.
But don't sweat it. There is no right or wrong way. Just tell a story about a guy you knew...know...and love.
