How about an M67 Grenade (Hand Frag) with light load MLRS (semi-tinked) for cleanup is better, though. Throw in a CBU-89 (T-1) and it'll be gone in no time.

Not sure if ice alone will make the gum hard and brittle enough to break away. if all else fails, You can get component cooler at Radio Shack. It's like freon in a small can for finding bad electronic parts. It's gotten pretty expensive the last few years at something like $8 a can, but it will freeze the gum to about minus 50 degrees.
