Where to find this type of bed?

I've talking about the beds that are square, 6', and recess in before/after the wheel well.

I've seen quite a few of these on the 70's F100's and I like the way they look. What do you get them off of?

I guess that's what they're called, seems logical. They only come off of our years or what?

76, I went to a local junkyard, and they had an excellent one that I might be able to get for $100.

That's great. Check it for tailgate attachement point rust. This in not a deal killer, especially @ $100. What kind of bottom does the bed have?

If you have to replace any of the wood, use kiln dried red oak. This sounds like a super deal for you. Befor installing the bed, get underneath it (stand it up if it's off of course) and make sure you can treat the bolts/nuts holding the bed stays which hold the planks so that you can easily remove them in the future should you need to. Great find!

Thats a great deal I would ****** it up in a heart beat. I dont see to many old trucks with step sides but I think a old truck looks classy with a step side
