Super Duty leasing?

Is there a lease option for Super Duties? If so, would there be any significant difference in final cost between purchasing an SD outright or leasing an SD, then at the end of the lease making that "final lump-sum payment" and buying it then? The lower initial payments of a lease may be attractive to me, but only if it doesn't entail paying a lot extra in the long run.

The residual values vary greatly from one S-D to another. If you can give me an idea of what model you have in mind, how many miles/ year that you drive, and how you'll use the truck, I can give you a pretty good comparison.

Sorry to be so vague. I bet my residual value maybe a bit lower than other models. It'd be getting a regular cab manual trans v10 XLT (Invoice $29.8k) -- that (reg cab/man trans) may hurt its resale value I would think. However I would be returning it at the end of the lease in great shape, with low miles. It would not be my daily driver. I leased a F150 for three years and that worked out well -- I returned it with low miles and in great shape.

edit: Miles per year would be around 5,000

2 or 4WD? I'm assuming you'll want A/C.

Here's where it gets interesting. The XL has decent residual values, but the Supercab is much better than a regular-cab. Figuring a 36-month/ 36000-mile lease, you're looking at a payment that's about $20/ month LESS for the supercab than the regular ($404 vs $385). Final payment of $18000 for the S/C, $14600 for the regular. To buy it outright for 60 months, standard rate, it's $474/ month for the reg-cab, $517/ month for the Supercab. All of these numbers include $1000 rebate, no down payment, and do not include taxes or any tag/title fees.
