I don't know which " On the right" port you're talking about.

Pics?

The port on the bottom right (left, when looking at it from the grille)should go to the vacuum advance on the dizzy.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Mar-02 AT 03:23 PM (EST)]this ? is for a 84 f-250 with 351W
as you look at the engine from the grill, on the right(driver's side) of the intake manifold, there is a vac port, where does it go to? the vac hose routing sticker says it's connected to the manifold vac. i cant find this manifold vac port on the manifold, but there is another one on the back of the manifold thats supposed to be there.
what should i do?
also under the front of the carb there is another port about half the size of the vac port stated, where does that go to.

Where presently is the hose from the vacuum advance going to?

Do you have any manifold vacuum switches?
These are usually white with two or three hose nipples that screw into the manifold.

it has one manifold yellow vac "tree" that has 3-4 hoses off of it, its behind the egr. the vac advance goes into the back of the carb. there is a plug in maybe a vac port on the top of the manifold on the right side, between the carb and the end of the manifold, the hold is slanted to the right.

never mind about the big hose on the intake manifold, how about the little hose under the accelerator pump on the carb?

Lets see, I have an 84 F-150 that we just switched out the manifold with an edelbrock performer and the carb with the edelbrock 1406. The tree behind the EGR (if you still have your egr) Goes to the break booster. There is a second that comes out of the front of the manifold that there is no hole for on the edelbrock performer. This line is part of your cruise control. The thing that I am personally curious out is on top of the ignition box on the right wheel well, there is a box with two vac hoses goes into this. I dont know what this box is for or where the hoses are to go, they dont stretch anywhere, there is two of them. I just have them plugged up right now, but would really like to know. Ive never owned a vehicle with this mystery box.
