302 to a 351?

302 to a 351?
I have an 81 F100 it had a 6 in it wich was repolaced with a 302 well now this motor is running low on milage left..and i want to put a 351 in it.. im new to the whole ford thing i know there are different 351 blocks whats best? also i need to know whati can use from my 302 heads, intake, headers an stuff. also any one know what i should set my timing at? i have it at about 15btdc but i can no longer roast the tires.. chiltons tells me that i should have it at like 10 Btdc but at that setting the truck runs like crap. it ran good untill i started messing with it... now i cant get it back to where it was any help on either of these would be apprecaited

Get a 351w and put it in. Nothing much interchanges except some accessories on front like the waterpump, timing cover, alt, etc. The starter will work, the exhaust manifolds will bolt on, but sometimes are not pointed the right way, the y-pipe on the exhaust won't work. The heads can be made to interchange but you might as well use the heads that come with the 351w.
