Lo-Tech cab removal?
I'm stripping my '70 F100 to use the chassis on another project, and I'm almost ready to remove the cab. Since it's gonna be scrapped, I wonder if I could just roll it off to the side once the bolts are out. The frame is so narrow, it looks like my son and I could pick up one side and roll it off. I have a hoist if it proves too heavy. Also- how do I get rid of it? Will scrap metal dealers take a cab? I can haul it on my trailer, but I gotta know where to go w/it. Any advice from fellow car wreckers?

Cab roll-off
My son and I did exactly the same thing 2 weeks ago. We took the box, cab and clip off at the same time. Rolled the truck out of the shop and tilted the box off the frame to the side on the ground. Tilted the cab back on the frame where the box was and then rolled it off so it landed on top of the discarded box. I called some hulk hauling guys out to remove this stuff and they were out within two hours. Sure can get to the goodies without all that crappy sheetmetal in the way!
