about 3 weeks ago my truck ('92 f150 5.0 v-8) was acting funny. while trying to maintain a constant speed of 35 or so (not accelerating, but not coasting), it was having trouble deciding on which gear it wanted to be in. i changed the tranny fluid and filter and it has run perfectly for 3 weeks or so.
now the problem is back, along with another. if i coast slowly to a stop, i have no problem. however, if i have my foot on the gas, take it off quickly, and then come to a stop, the engine dies.
at first i thought it was the tranny, but it does not shift hard and i have no problems at any other times, only when i am trying to maintain a constant speed. also (while i am new at this), i did not think that tranny problems normally cause the car to stall.
could someone please give me some ideas or suggestions?
**also note that i have replaced all spark plugs, spark plug wires, and fuel filters in the last year, so i dont think that could be the cause of the stalling.
