no actually i am looking for how big of a spark gap it is jumping. building the set up to slide into the pipe, i am not using a spark plug but instead 2 electrodes fixed inside the pipe.

Hmmmm. Interesting. Tell me more.

I haven't opened the gap anymore than it was and I get good spark. I can spread it out and see how far I can go before it stops working.

ok well here's what i have going on. i have a 3" 90 running into the bottom of my 5" stack. there the stack sits on the 90 i turned a donut out of some 1" thick round stock. 5" od 3" id. i am milling holes in there to run my 1/2" copper propane line, 1/4" fuel line and 2 others from ignition wires. these all run up to just befor the bend in the tip out where i have them in a mount with 3 thin kickers going to the outside of the pipe and held in by bolts. i am then turning up electrodes to make my spark gap. see i don't want anything to be seen on the outside of the pipes. it's on a flat bed with a head acke rack so a spark plug and fuel lines running on the outside of the pipe is just not an option

Sounds pretty sweet. I'd love to see how you have the electrical circuit setup.

Aren't you worried about the fuel lines being exposed to all that heat? I'm guessing you'll have about 3 feet of 1/4" fuel line in each stack full of fuel. I have 2" dual exhaust turned up 45 deg. right behind the cab, glasspacks, and 12" tips. Those puppies get pretty dang hot.

I do like the idea of not seing any of the plumbing though.

not at all worst case, hopefully, would be to vaporize the diesel fuel but if the temps get that high i will have melted other things down.
