hey i know i should put this in the engine forums but yea lol.
i have a 360 in my f250 and i am getting redone.
what i am going to get done to it is get it stroked to a 390 with 9 1/2 to 1 pistons, 1/2 race rv cam, set of headers, highrise intake manifold, and a 750 cm edlebrock carb and some valve work done and to finish it off balanced and blue printed. just wondering what you guys think ? any suggestions? for my torque ? horses?
thanks

Sounds like a nice 390 build, should be in the 350hp and 425tq range, but then if you want specifics from the Desktop Dyno guys, you will need the complete specs off the cam card. Can I ask, why do you refer to the motor as a "stroked" to 390? Putting in a 390 crank/rods/pistons will make a 390, offered by the factory.
overbored? 360 and 390 are exactly the same bore - the only differance between the two is the stroke of the crank, and the rods. What they are saying is that putting a 390 crank in a 360 makes it a 390 - it does not matter if it is done at the factory or in your backyard - the resulting engine is a 390.
