Ford Brakes
I have a 1987 F-150 and something started going on with my brakes, when i push down on the peddle air seems to rush out like it is loosing preasure or something does anyone know what could be causing this problem

It is comming from the where the brake pedal is, and now it has gotten to where i have to push almost all the way down before it starts to stop. you can also feel the air comming out on your foot

Sounds like the booster is shot. To confirm it, disconnect the large vacuum hose from the booster under the hood and plug it to stop the vacuum leak so the engine will run. Start the engine and press the brake pedal and see if you have eliminated the air leak. If no leak, it's just a matter of replacing the booster unit.

Directly in front of the driver, mounted to the firewall in the engine compartment. The brake pedal pushes a rod through the back of the booster and into the master cylinder for the brakes. The master cylinder will be attached to the booster. Booster is probably about the diameter of a dinner plate.
