i have a 79 F-150 with a 460 block and a C6 transmission. the problem is that the transmission slips in and out of first gear, while sitting still. i am not driving the truck right at the moment. the guy im buying it off of had it parked up for a little while. he went out and started every few days, but i dont think he ever really moved it. its still parked now, and when i go out to start it i put in into gear once it gets warmed up, to operating tempature.
what im wondering is that if its slipping cause its just been sitting up and once i drive around will it stop or am i going to have to get it repaired. it also doesnt slip nearly at all when the truck has been warmed up enough.
