the best place i found to buy a brand new made in use radiator is http://www.discountradiators.com/ and you get 5 off when you buy online and free shipping yours for your truck was only 112 minus 5 and if you don't have a/c it is even cheaper like 100.00 i buy al my radiators from them and you get it in a day or so.

I had problems with mineral build up and scale. I started using distilled water instead of tap water. So far it seems OK. I guess I'll know for sure in 10 years or so. I also was changing antifreeze, though looking clean, every 2 or three years to make sure the anticorrosion and lube additives were not worn out. Lately all I have been doing every year is to just replace 1/2 the antifreeze. It is a lot easier than trying to get all the fluid out of the engine and then get it refilled. Most of my systems are 4 gal total so I drain out two gallons and replace it with 50/50 mix.
