Best Spark Plugs?

I have an '89 E350 with a 5.8L that has been giving me fits. I am going back thru the basics, so, which brand spark plug works best for this rig and is the platinum worth the extra money?

I use Autolites myself! The platinum plugs are junk and not worth it in my opinion, I tried them once with horrible results.

What type of results did you experience? I use them in my 3.8L T-Bird, and they seem fine. I have them in the 5.8L, but I'm about to pull them to see if I can get rid of lack of power at all RPMS.

Thats part of the problem i had. When i first put them in it seemed to have a loss of power right off. the other was a slight loss of fuel mileage along with the truck just not seeming to run rught. I pulled them shortly thereafter threw a set of autolites back in no problems.

OK! Replaced the platinums with Autolites. Runs better and found #7 had carbon build-up (not fouled) Checked the injector and there was the problem. I am going to run 3M injector cleaner through the fuel rail with a univeral kit, hoping that will loosen her up, otherwise, off comes the top and the injectors go out to be cleaned.
