hmmm... a problem i cannot figure out
back in december i got a new k&n air filter for my 2003 screw 4.6l v8, also i had my 15000 mile service done, and ever since i put the air filter in my tank has went from around 360 to only 250 miles per tank, my tires are inflated right and all service is up to date, and i have filled up at least 5 times since i got the filter, does anyone know what is wrong with my gas mileage? could the part be defective or something else? i cant keep filling up every other few days gonna break me :-\

Although I think the K&N filter allows somewhat more dirt into the engine, its not enough to have increased wear that quickly, and it would not lower mileage on its own.

it cant be the filter. Who did your 15k mile service? Did they change your fuel filter? If so, you might want to get under there and make sure there is no drip and its installed properly. Your milage decreased by over 25%, im thinking you have a leak somewhere...
