Rear Spring Mounts

I hope someone has advice for me.......I have a 65 longbed and have a DJM lowering kit that includes new spring mounts. The factory mounts are riveted to the frame and I have been trying with my air chisel to get a rivet off but not making progress very fast. Is there a better way to do this? Any advice would be appreciated--my hands still hurt from the hammering!

Bodie, I've found the fastest, easiest way is to grind the heads off the rivets with an angle grinder and then drill out the centers. This took me less than 10 minutes a side. Hope it helps a bit.

I ground the heads off as well, but I had good luck using a punch and big hammer to drive the rest out. A couple good whacks and out they came.

For future reference, I've also seen the heads cut off with a torch and the pounded out with a punch.
