i have an 81 f100 and it is probably about 3 inches lower on the pasengers side in the front than on the left. what can i do to correct this... im thinkin springs... if so what do i need to replace the springs? if its not springs... what is it?
I have this same problem on my 80 f-100. I replaced all the springs, front and rear, about two years ago but I still have the lean.(???) I haven't solved the mystery yet. Please let me know how you do.

Good luck - BUBBA
I thought the bumper was bent when I bought the truck (85 F150), measured it after a few months and found the bumper was ok (oh no).
Turns out it was the body mounts. My friend got in an we heard a
crunch, I thought it was the running boards. Then the fan started
hitting the shroud and it was time to do something.
Look under the radiator, each frame rail has a mount. The radiator support is a bolt on one piece sheet member. It sits on the rubber (if there is anything left) and the bolt goes thru the support and is bolted there. My support was rotted thru right at the bolt so the body was just laying on the frame, thats why the right side was 1-2 inches lower.
Well I just replaced the support. It is all bolt on if that is your problem. Just yell if you have a questions.
body mounts huh ya know... ive noticed some of my mounts are in pretty bad shape... and ya know... it might just be leaning enough to be corrected by something like that... is this a hard swap...or is it fairly easy..im not scared
i did this swap when mine rusted out. its not that complicated but isn't too fun either, more than a couple hrs if i remember correctly. depending on the quality of replacement piece you order all the holes may or may not line up exactly right. i'd try & make sure it is the problem before diving in.
My 81 F100 does the same thing, I thought the coil springs were worn out...and they were. After I replaced them my front end was jacked up higher than the back. I went back to the parts store and they assured me that they were the right springs, so I had my leaf springs re-arched and added another one to make my truck level. Now my truck sits up too high to be stock and the front wheels bow out. Any suggestions on how to fix this and bring me back to normal?

I have the same truck with same problem..
I replaced the whole front I beam suspension (Only because it was bent)
but this wasnt the solution for the leaning the problem.
My fix was:
Replacing all your rubber bushings around the leaning side of suspension(I beam) and get coil spring boosters for that side and keep boosting till the distance between tire and wheel well are the same on both sides; then do a static alignment with a tape measure. If you tires are wearing out unevenly.
Or you can custom make a booster to go underneath spring seat but is your bolt long enough to handle it.
Now mine sits up even as could be but the coil boosters are ony on one side. The leaning side. They do sell the adjustable boosters.
which you will need. I had to go up about 3 inches.
I used the 2/1 inch rubber booster and one adjustable booster.
I dont know why it leans but maybe the passenger side is heavier the other side....
