rear axle??

If it ain't broke.....change stuff till it is!

I have an 86' F-150 4x4 Lariat w/ the 302 efi, and was wondering what type of front and rear axles do i have. are they dana 44? 9"? any help would be great..thanx..

rear axle??

Yes the front is a 44. The rear can be a 9" or 8.8" If there is a removable cover on the back of the housing it is the 8.8" the 9" bolts in from the front.
