Hey does anyone know if a Siemens PM285 blower motor will work in a 94 with AC and a 2.3 liter. I am confused about their list of AC and NON AC models
Any help or directions to an online parts listing would be great
Thanks
I have a 1993 Ranger 2wd 2.3L XLT Ex Cab w/ ac and I've got the same question about these Siemens blower motors. My blower motor just conked out, and I eliminated the resistor and control panel/dash controller.
Auto Zone is listing the PM285 as the only option. Napa Auto has their inhouse Balkamp brand and only offer one option as well. I figured I'd just haul the thing in with me to the parts counter and do comparative anatomy, make sure the mounting holes are identical, and the power input and ground match the old motor, and the motor specs are the same. Let you know how it goes this weekend and post some links to photos of the repair if you want.

well, I went and bought the Siemens PM285, and there are some drawbacks to using it. I'll just let you take a look and get everyone's opinion. the dealer wants $127 for the blower w/gasket. you have to remove and reattach the blower wheel to the new blower.
The siemens didn't come with a gasket, and the power inputs were just a positive and negative wire coming out, not the connector that the motorcraft motor has built into it.
I'll message you the links to the pictures/scratch that, I can't link to my flickr gallery to show you the photos here in message or forum, oh well.

ended up getting a used blower motor from a dismantler, out of an '88 Ford Aerostar. The parts gal working at Ford Auto & Truck Recycling in Rancho Cordova, CA said that Aerostars and Rangers have a lot of parts in common.
