I was at the wrecking yard yesterday and saw an am/fm cassette radio in a 91 model aerostar that I thought would look good in my 73 model pick up. I wired everything up and got the light to come on, but as soon as I plugged in the antenna wire, everything stopped working like it blew a fuse.
I took it apart and could not find a fuse inside of it. The fuse in my truck is still good. Do I need to use the aerostar antenna also?
Anyone got any idea how to make this work or even if it will?
Another problem is I hooked up the remote wire of my amplifier to the power antenna lead. It also stops working when I plug in the antenna.
Thanks for any ideas,
Mike
