I recently bought a 1986 f-150 with an inline 6cyl. The truck has 4 spd. man. The engin has the feedback carter carb, the truck idles rough and wont rev over 2500 rpm.it has practily no power.Can I put a non feedback carb, and a durospark ign. in this truck, it has a tfi-Iv ign. now .would this screwup the computer. what could cause these symptoms and where should I start troubleshooting this problem I traced all the vacume lines and they all look in order.The truck has map sensor, tps,fuel mix control solenoid, and other sensors and switches. pleas help Zantar

You can try checking and retorquing the intake/exhaust manifold bolts, sometimes they come loose over time. Also make absolutely sure the vacuum lines do not have any cracks or are not broken, also you could try having the carburetor rebuilt.
