Ford "may" be putting in a new diesel in '07, but I doubt it. The 6.0 is an awesome motor right now with very few problems. I feel that the 6.0 is an improvment over the 7.3. How do you know that there won't be problems with the "newer" diesel "if" it comes out in '07. If he spends the 5K now he will not regret it. And "if something newer and better comes out in '07 he could trade it and still have a good resale in it due to the diesel. Don't want to turn this into a diesel vs. V-10 here, but don't dgrade the 6.0 when you don't know what you are talking about.

THANKS guys for all the feedback!!!!!! I pulled the trigger yesterday on a 2005 F350 CC 4X4 6.0 Amarillo edition with auto tranny. I just put all the pros & cons on a sheet & decided at this time a diesel would be the best for me. With all the miles & length of time I plan on keeping it the diesel came out ahead. This was hardest time I have ever had deciding on a truck. Pick it up 1st of next week. It won't be hard to find my truck in the parking lot with that yellow monster sitting above everyone.
