i'm a ford man but i like the dodge better than the chevy.we talk all about these dyno tests , 0-60 times ,and 1/4 mile times which is a game that is more the player than the truck.if you cant drive your times will be differnt.that being said here in the country we have ways of finding who is who .we work the heck out of our trucks and i've never been out done by dodge or chevy set up the same way.we talk torque curves and rwhp on big treadmills put them under load and let the trucks shine the way they where designed to shine.
Having driven a hemi. I wasnt impressed with its bottom end. Im used to diesel torque though so maybe Im not a good judge.
Logical, can you tell us if it had the 20" wheels and what the rear end gear ratio was?
I was very surprised of how tall the tires are on the 20" wheels. I can see where they can kill the low end torque. I believe Dodge would do good if they offered one more gear like a 4.11 or even a 4.56 if that is what you wanted.
He has the wheels off of a H2 hummer on there. Dont think theyd put 20s on the hummer. Couldnt afford the rubber. Id have to call him on the rear end. Ill call him later today and ask.
I will say I jumped out of a diesel and into the hemi. The hemi took longer to get the ball rolling but once it was rolling. That thing was wicked fast.
Oh yeah. The wheels arent a straight swap. He had to machine them to fit.

Last I checked the Hummer H2 and the Dodge Ram 1500 have completely different Lug patterns. The Hummer I believe comes with 17" wheels and 33" tires (305's).

They look good on the truck but I told him modifying the wheels on a truck that size might not be a wise proposition. Ill take a pic if you dont believe it.
You're not the only one wondering what if, 77_F150_4x4. When a 392 Ford crate engine will make north of 500 hp on pump gas with AFR 185's in place of the factory GTx's, it's apparent the mods are not capable of filling the pushrods shoes without a lot of help. Then throw in the Hemi and GM smallblocks into the equation to rub salt in the wound. I'll take simple cubic inches and pushrods over "hi tech" anyday of the week. Cheaper, less complicated, and more power.
how about 5.0 l and high tech, blew one off with a 340 hp 302 and just 1/2 the nox hit sitting in a 95 f150 4x4 . hemi its a good motor don't get me wrong there, just to much hyp.
