Ok I just bought the bullydog 4 bank chip. Dont ask my why. But its not working. I cleaned the prongs good I think, and somethimes my truck wont start. Just cranks over and over again. Also they chip dosent do anything. I sent it back to them adn they said that its programed good. Its suppost to have a vallet, which dosnet let it go over 70mph. A high idle for when your pulling it ads 200rpm. And then stock-50-75-100. And it does nothing. No performance boost at all. No shutting off at 70 or anything. Do you think its a problem with the connection or is it the chip? Im starting to get really frustrated. PLEASE HELP!!!
So do you think there is anythign wrong wtih the chip? Ive never heard anythign about these and it sounded good. And that wont hurt it to scratch the conector??
I used one of those green scothbright pads to scuff the contacts when I installed my chip, also make sure you duct tape it in to the computer pretty tight, I didnt tape mine at first and had some problems every once in awhile I wouldnt get a WTS light and the truck wouldnt start if I hit the computer the truck would start. After I taped it in I havent had any problems

yea, scothbright pad with some carb/brake cleaner on it, you can also use a popcicle stick to push that stuff off. you have to make sure the contacts (top and bottom) are clean
Mine came with a small piece of the red scotchbrite pad. Even with that it was really hard to get the contacts really clean. I also used carb cleaner on the pad to really get this all cleaned off. The one thing I have read not to do was to spray anything up in the ECM, so I just sprayed the cleaner on the pad and scrubbed it like that.
Now let me ask, you mentioned your high idle adding 200 R's when pulling??? I thought the high idle position was only for a 1100 RPM warm up. Was never told it would do something else like add more power while pulling, whats up with this? Please tell me more about this.
Im not sure they guy at bullydog said that it ads 200rpm while your under a load. I was under the same impression that it idles up at start. which my truck allready has. I havent got the chip hooked up again yet. To busy with work. But when I do get it hooked up im going to be verry egar to try that out. Sounds like a good feture if that is so.
