Just an introduction
I haven't gotten my 97 Explorer V8 5.0 just yet. I'm waiting for my student loan check to come in. I'm be making my first payment within a week and the last payment will be next month when I get the second half of my student loan check.
This is will be my first SUV. I've only had a few American made cars and have mostly been into imports. Lately, I have been in this sports car phase where I just had to have a sports car. Well, I finally got the sports car that I wanted only to have it's engine blow on me within a year's time. I should have known that the car was no good when I did a carfax on it and it had not been registered since 1992 in NY. The car was made in 1991 which means that something went wrong for this car to have been in limbo all these years. But I was so excited to get this sports car that I overlooked the warning signs. I never modded her to the point where it would blow the engine. All I did to the car was put a stereo in and did a custom intake on the car. Other than that, nothing else was done to that car. Sadly, it was one disappointment after another. So, I've decided that the sports car would have to wait until I can be a better model with much more power.
Anywho, I graduate from West Chester University of Pa in Dec of this year. I'm now thinking of the car that I will used to travel to and from work once I get a job next year. My dream job is to become a Medical Science Liaison. But I will have to work my way up into this position so I will start as a Clinical Research Associate for a Biotech company or Pharmecutical company. Both these jobs require alot of traveling and aren't your 9-5 typical job. So, I began to think what car/truck would benefit me the most. That's when I decided that I wanted an SUV. The sports car is not an option when your carrying around lagguage and company equipement. A car would have been ok, but, this past winter storm we had showed me how much having an SUV is much better then having a car.
So now I'm a Explorer girl, at least until I can afford to buy my dream SUV-a Cadillac SRX. It's not as big as the Expedition or the Navigator, yet smaller than the Explorer and the Aviator and much more luxurious than what BMW, Mercedes, Porsche or Acura put out. God I want one.
Now you know me...
