Been getting 8mpg on my '93, 302 EFI. I got a Fuel psi gauge and tested pressure.
I cycled Key to ON one time and went to see pressure. By the time I got there, it was at 15psi and dropping.
I cycled key to ON about ~3-4 times. PSI was at ~40 and dropping FAST. It went to 10PSI in about 10seconds.
I have checked my regulator for leaking to vac line, but it is clean. I even unplugged the vac line and cycled the key a couple of times. No fuel came out of the regulator. This leads me to believe that I have a leaking injector. Any good way to check for this?
Check your plugs, if one is black and sooty, you have a leaking injector. The regulator can be failed other than leaking into the vac line, allowing too much fuel to pass by. The fuel pump may also have a bad check valve allowing the pressure to drain back down.
