Odometer Code Reading 97 F250 5.8L
I recently read on here about getting codes by holding the "select" button on the odometer and turning on the key. I tried it on my truck and got the following:
E 08 6
Any ideas what this means? I can't find the original post and search won't let me in tonight.
I know this forum only goes through 1996 but the '97 HD F250 is more like the '96 than anything else and I couldn't find a forum for my truck.

The "E" stands for english. The number after that is the microprocessor revision level but i don't know what that means sorry. The function you were performing is not used as a diagnostic procedure but instead is used to calibrate your speedo for different tire sizes. If im all washed up someone will correct me soon. If you go to the tech articles section of this site it shows you step by step how to calibrate it.
