check engine light "codes"

i just took my truck to auto zone.....they put their computer on the truck and it came back with one code.....

P0401 is the code

what is it?
what do i have to do to fix it?

truck is an 01 F-150 4.6 L 5spd 4x4 with 49,000 miles

Clean your EGR valve and passages and that will probably take care of it.

what is this DPFE....sensor i'm reading about....where is that located on my truck....i can't find it.....thanks

There is a pipe running up from the driver's side exhaust manifold to the EGR valve. Coming off that are 2 small hoses. At the top of those hoses is the DPFE sensor. It has the 2 hoses and 1 electrical connector on it.

thanks.....i'm going to replace that....now what if that doesn't solve my problem....what are my next steps....i read something about using a shop vac on the egr valve....i can't find the post again but i was curious wht they were talking about
