2000 F-150 Speedometer trouble
Hey guys....I have noticed my speedometer is acting funny. I seems it gets "hung' for a second somewhere between 40-60 mph when accelerating. It seems to work fine when slowing down, at low & high speeds. When it gets hung, it will jump realllly fast to the current speed, so it still reads the correct speed I am going....I HOPE...

Have you noticed any abs or check engine lights too? If so, there may be something wrong with the speed sensor. On some trucks it's located in the rearend, but I am not sure about your year truck.

do you have any type of aftermarket gauges.... especially the glow type? sometimes, if they are on and arent taped well enough to the original cluster, then they will stick out enough for the needles to rub and sometimes hang up on them.
