HPX- Hardline

Did you guys ever get the sponsor setup here that has the HPX hardlines and if so how about help with the link to this??? I have searched high and low on here for all the info on this mod as well as just the HPX mod with good pictures and details. All I have found so far is those of you mention you have done this with improved idle quality and noise reduction. Sure would like to try this on the truck. Thanks for any trouble.

This is the guy that made mine, not sure if he is going to make them available to the general public. He is making me a new one to go through the valley instead up and over the turbo. Some PSD' with his hard line have over 90000 miles on them with no problems. Leave him an e-mail;

Hey that will work thanks, just got through putting my version of the Tymar air filter on, took me a little while to round up the pieces I wanted. Turned out sweeeet to, sounds even better now as the idle does seem to have evened out better and all I have to do is listen to the intake talk alittle. Which I guess if noise was a real problem for me I wouldn't have put the straight 4" pipe on the exhaust LOL...

I knew she was not getting enough air through the intake, man was this an improvement. Turbo really sings through the exhaust now for sure, got ta love it LOL...

While I was at this mod. I went ahead and R&R'd the fuel filter on the truck and I shimmed up thew FPR from 45 psi to 55-60 psi now. Thought I would go a little short of what most of you guys run at first. Used a 5/32" ball bearing for now. I sort of wonder how really strong my ten year old fuel pump is LOL... May have to go ahead and stuff the 3/16" in her and let her eat though.

What really surprized the heck out of me, while R&Ring the fuel filter, I was shocked at all the small crap in the bottom of the filter tank. I know all that crud came from all this expensive fuel we have to pay for too. What a ripping that is.

Was snowing here all day while I did all this LOL, really cold out too. Still once I got all the stuff here for the mods I had to do all this reguardless of the weather LOL... Once all finished and cleaned up, fired her up and flipped the switch to the 1100 high idle position and let her warm up good. Man does she talk through the air filter and the exhaust now, love it too. Motor sure seems to have just smoothed right out at idle now too. Thanks for all the great reading here dudes, and thanks for the link on the hardline HPX also. Laterz

Good morning Guys, how are all the PSD gear heads this morning

Well, while I was all over the top side of the PSD yesterday, I looked this all over pretty good. Now, me having a really high dollar set of tubing benders, I just wonder if a stick of 316 stainless steel tubing and the right fittings that thread in place would do the trick hummmm???

So, guess my next question is who knows what the thread and size the tap points are???

Barebackjake,

The guy from kcmdiesel is just getting started w/ his website. I think this is something he's trying to get going on the side, in addition to his everyday job. I had sent him an email last week and it took him a day or so to get back w/ me, but he did go out and do some good research for me.

Hopefully he'll get back to you pretty quick. He seems like a stand-up guy.

The seamless SS tubing is not so hard to find but those high pressure, hardened connectors are the key.

Here in the oil fields of Texas the fittings are not so hard to get either LOL...I am going to the Ford dealer here I use and visit with them about the fitting thread size and all. See what they have to say on this. Bet they know what threads they are with using test equipment and all that. I have a full stick of the SS tubing in my shop right now. Burst rate on the stuff is 5000# if I remember right. Have to look later at that to be sure?

I will let everyone know what I dig up on this. Just from the pic's I have seen on this, the thread looks like a straight thread pattern and uses a O-ring to seal. Not sure on the size but look really like a 14mm thread of a spark plug for as size, that's just what it looked like from the pic's anyway. Pic's can mislead you though. Let everyone know laterz

The fittings for the head are known as a #5 o ring fitting, I do belive the best way to do it would be to use a oring to JIC adaptor, and make the pipe fit it, but then the pipe would have to be flared on the ends,

I know the guy, you'll have to cut him some slack he works 80 plus hour a week at two jobs and trying to get his site up , he'll get back to you, it may take a little bit.

Heatstroked,

When you get your new line, post a pic in your gallery. I'll probably get one if he goes public w/ it. The one I have seems sturdy, but I keep the plugs and some wrenches in my tool box just in case...

I currently have the hose type HPX and it's pushing about 1 1/2 years old.

I'm having a dual exhaust, my cowl hood and the HPX hard line installed by KCM as soon as the hood paint is done.

I've installed the HPX hard line and connectors but want my line re-routed so KCM is going to bend me a new one. My new line will go through the valley and will be bent a bit different than most as I don't have an EBPV pedestal or stock EBPV housing.
