How do you get the cover to the speedometer off? I took the four screws out of the top and am able to pull the face plate out some. However, it seems the bottom end is still held in place by something. I don't wnat to break any plactic tabs or whatever is holding it in place. Does it just swing out until you can unhook it? Or is there some hidden way to unlatch it?
In my 88 there are horizontal "strips" below the dash, and they pop off to reveal some tabs for the dash panel. You unscrew those tabs and then the whole big panel comes off.
Thanks for the help, that did the trick. I wasn't sure if there were some hidden screws, clamps, or whatever under there and didn't want to break anything.
Now maybe I can figure out why my emission light doesn't light, so I can go pay the california governor some smog money!!
