I have a 2002 F150 pickup, the outside temp. gauge starts out reading the outside temp. around 10 degrees high. After driving a while it jumps to readings of 50 to 60 degrees higher then the outside temp.. Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix it???

Alot of people seem to be having trouble with their temp sensors lately. I wonder if its the cold or just coincidence? Luckily the low temp here is in the mid 40's, but should be back in the 80's in a few days!
