Adjusting camber on I-beams

I was looking at the Autofab lift kit, and sorry, I am not paying $750 for two springs and a pair of re-bent i-beams. Who in S.E. Michigan can tweak i-beams for camber and caster? I am thinking of lifting my 65 F100, and I can find taller stiffer springs to lift the front end for cheap, but I need to get the camber and caster back in line. If autofab can do it, I assume they are either bending them in a stupid big press, or are heating them and tweaking them..

I guess the better Q is to ask how you actually align an I-beam setup if you need more than toe adjustments??

The I-Beams have to bent to correct camber,on averge 1" lift will add 1 deg. of possitive camber. Some shops won't bend more than 1-1 1/2 deg.,some will go more.Unless you drop the radius arm brackets down the same amount as the lift, the caster is going to go negative.

Sounds like I might make me some drop brackets. I just was wondering how the autofab kits get realigned. They do it all by maintaining the original mounts, and tweaking the i-beams, apparently tweaking the heck out of them..

Do the arms get heated and bent, or just a big 'ol press? I wonder if it makes more sense to just make new i-beams.
