I know there's a simple answer for this but it's 5 in the morning and I'm searching for the new GVWR's on the 05 SD's. Anyone direct me to a link? I looked in the FAQ's but I'm pretty sure those are still the 04 stats. Thanks
I tried Ford's website and they didn't list GVWs, only combined. My F-250 4X2 LWB with PSD is 9800. Brochure for 4X2 F250s ranges from 8800 to 10000 starting from Shortbed regular to crew longbed.
When I was looking at F250s, and i looked at a lot, I never saw a psd under 9800#. Granded I only looked at diesels so can''t speak to gassers. EVERY 4x2 I saw was 9,800# and EVERY 4x4 i saw was 10,000#. XLT or Lariet, it did not matter, only the 4x2 vs 4x4. I am guessing the 200 extra is for the front pumpkin and such.
edit: guess I should mention i was also only looking at the short beds. Not many long bed 250s anyway.

Reason: Forgot bed length
If you go to Ford's web site and build your F250 of F350, it will show your the GVWR and maximum payload for the truck you are building.
yeah - at 3 AM I have trouble finding stuff, but today I went over to my local ddealer and picked up a booklet. 4X4 350, LWB, SD = 4300# cargo capacity, the 4X4 250 LWB, SD = 2800#. Either one is gutsy enough to haul a camper. I'm disappointed that right now my 350 can only haul about 1700# according to the weight certification. That new frame under the F's has added over 1000# of cargo capacity. A lot of truck campers will be happy about that.
Thanks all for the contribution - now to find a dealing dealer
