weight?

Hello all, I just bought a 2005 SD F250, super cab, long bed 4x4 FX4, with a 5.4 gaser, I know the GVWR is 9800, but what is the approx. weight of the truck unloaded? I'm guseeing 6-7k?

I have a 2000 f250 long bed, reg cab, 4x4, 5.4 and it weighs 5,500 lbs. So I would guess somewhere around 6,500 lbs sounds about right.

My 06 short bed wieghs 7200 lbs empty on the scale

Hauled some old furniture to the dump a couple weeks ago, my tare weight was 7140 but that was with a nearly empty gas tank. Would be close to 7300 with a full tank. I do have a tool box with a few things in it,so take off 100 pounds or so for that and it puts the truck right about 7200. Mine is an 05 5.4 Supercab short bed, so add a couple hundred pounds for the long bed.
