:-X11 Trying to find a cheap source for the brake proportion/distribution/whatever it's called for a '82 f-100 other than Ford themselves. Don't want a used unit, only new. Ford quoted me $136.:-staun Just trying to see if there is a cheaper source.

If you don't want used then I tend to agree that the dealer will likely be your only location. What is wrong with the one you have?

If you are replacing the proportioning valve because your rear brakes aren't working very well don't bother. I went through all that with my brakes and it made no difference at all. If not because of that then.....never mind.
