2.3+2.3=4.6?

Would using dual turbos off of 2 2.3 I4s work on a 4.6 V8?
I was thinking if you route through a dual exhuast and meet in the intercooler.

It's been suggested quite allot that having two intercoolers will work better than a single.

After sitting and thinking, I concur with this idea. Got room for 2?

1 IC is easier because you can fit more volume where no air would be flowin between the two seprate ones. Also, you can connect the two tubes before the IC, not after. Then again, the last comment depends on how you are running the tubing. Overall, I think it should work though.

I don't think that they would work all that well. They would not have the correct output pressure and usable range that a turbos set up for that specific aplication would.

I think that they would be too small, and you would max them out too soon in the rpm range.

Check out Corkey Bell's book Maximum Boost.

Two intercoolers would work well if they were set up in parallel, but not series. Besides who has that kind of room in an engine bay anyways.

intercooler are placed in the front of the car/truck not in the engine bay, 2 intercoolers in series could work u would have less air temp.
Any way, putting 1 intercooler to each turbo gives parallel settle,
1 intercooler with more area than 2 would work better, the main idea is to have the maxium area.
(please correct me if i wrong?

Ok, so you called me on the engine bay part. I guess I wasn't specific enough. In front of the radiator, behind the front air damn, ect.

An intercooler for each turbo would work very nicely.

The problem with setting intercoolers up in series is that they would create too much back preasure for the compressed air to overcome, reheating the air and negating the benifit of 2 IC's vs. just one.
