Question on 2004 Transmission Fix

I had the recall done on my 04 XLT for the banging problem going into reverse. The additive only seems to have made it a little better. My question is will this get better as time goes on or should it have been an immediate improvement ?

I'd like to hear from anyone who had it done.

My understanding is, if the additive doesn't work, there's a solenoid in the tranny that needs to be replaced.

I had it done on my 2004 back in November of 2004 and I initially had concerns because it would still slightly bang intermittently. However, after the first month or so, that seemed to stop and its been fine ever since. Maybe the additive had to be mixed through the system, i don't know.

Mine still bangs and shutters after a month of the "additive" fix. Its going back in tomorrow for a bad seal (sp)? and I will have them look at the tranny again

could you guys explain the bang into reverse is it like a loud snapping sound i have a similar thing in my 03 expy what trannies do you have e40d or 4r100
