Unhappy thump in rear

I have a 1998 Ford F150 Extended cab with an 8' bed. when i take my foot off the gas, going between 20 and 25 miles an hour, there's a thumping noise (bumbumbumbum) towards the rear. They have replaced the rear, cut the brake drums, replaced the drive shaft and replaced the bearing that holds the drive shaft. The mechanic is now considering replacing the bearing in the tail shaft of the trans. This only happens when coasting at 20-25 mph...no other time. Any ideas?

thump in rear gone!

It was the bearing in the tail shaft of the trans that was causing the noise. The mechanic replaced it and the truck runs fine now.
