Is there a spot on this site, or a member, that can help me decode the VIN for my '72 F250? This is the number: F25HRP41103. I'd really like to know Ford's name for the unusual gold color, too. Thanks!
gtmanifold.....you can get a build sheet with your VIN from Ford's website. The Factory amnuals have a whole sectionin the front that details all the different colors and options that were available. There is also a website where you can get this info...I can't seem to find it...i guess I didn't save it to my favorites...at least in THIS browser. If anyone knows, please post it....That was where I found out the green on my '67 was actually called "Lunar Green" rather than med. green.
F25 - Model code - F-250 2wd
H - Engine code - 390 - 2v
R - Assembly plant - San Jose
P41103 - consecutive unit number
The other lines of info on the plate will tell you the body type and interior and exterior colors and such....that's where the guide and website come in handy.
