2000 ranger O2 sensor

I am getting a PO153 error code. Print out shows bank 2, sensor 1 is slow to respond. Which bank is 2?

Thanks
Bill

Welcome to FTE!

Bank 1 is always the bank with the #1 cylinder, so Bank 2 = driver's side on your Ranger.

Got it figured out. Wanted to verify what I was thinking, as the parts store told me different. I was right, they were wrong.

Thanks for all the replies...

Rock,

Looks like our messages crossed.

I knew that, but had to be sure, since the Advance guys told me bank 2 was the RH side. I guess this thing is up on the exhaust manifold close to the firewall. Hope it's not too tough to get at.

Thanks for the assist.

If you have the 4.0L I highly recommend removing the front tire (and spash guard if applicable) and accessing the 02 sensor through the wheel well.

Wish it was a 4.0. It's the 3.0 flex fuel.

An interesting thing I noticed this AM, the check engine light is no longer on. I have not yet touched anything under the hood. So, me thinks it's a wiring problem vs the sensor itself.
