There's nothing really to tell from memory. Remove the safety wire and nut, push the arm forward, pull off the old and slide on the new. Put it all back together.

I pulled the whole beam off, just a couple of more bolts. Chances are you need " I ' beam bushings, and a good time to check the kingpins. It's not that big of a deal if you have a garage and a impact gun.

Bushings

Yep Truck nut is right .. You might as well do it all. You will probably need a torch or something to get the I beam bushings and King pins out though.

I did the I beam bushings at the same time, actually I replaced springs and shocks too. I did need a bushing puller for the I beam bushings, the usual tube and washer job. One of my springs had a broken coil, the ride and steering is much better after replacing the bushings and springs.

if your radius arm bushings are all that are bad there are a couple of ways to get to them. you can drop the beam ( and you might as well replace the bushings if you do ) that will give the room to push the radius arem forward enough to get it out of the mount. or you can grind or cut the rivets from the rear radius arm mount with a jack under the ibeam and remove the old and replace with new bushings then bolt the mount back on with grade 8 bolts. as for the king pins you should never use heat on them as they are treated and heat will make the metal soft and can bend or break. they should be removed with a press. i know there will be guys who say they've done it without incident but your safety is your choice. good luck. steve
