Alright, 83 ford f-150.... i changed the flaser and fuse, all bulbs apear to be good... they just dotn blink or anything... my harards work though? what could it be? what should i replace?
Verify that all the bulbs are lite. Flip the signal lever and get out of the truck to make sure the front and the rear lights are lit. They all have to be burning or the circuit will not draw enough current to make the flasher work. You must have not bought a heavy duty flasher, because that type will blink regardless if a bulb is out or not.
Alright, i swapped fuses with my hazards, turn signals still dont work - hazards do still with the turn signal flasher.... my lights dont light up when i flip the switch at all ( i think they did and stayed on when i fist got the struck, but now nothing....) ?
I don't have my wiring diagrams with me, but if the lights flash with the hazard circuit, we will assume the wiring and such is good out at the lights themselves. The only thing I can think of would be something unplugged in the column. Maybe somebody that has there wiring diagram can look to see how the hazard circuit joins itself into the turn signal circuit.
Check your brake lights and see if they work first. Then wiggle the signal arm a little and see if the green arrow indicator comes on at all ...make sure key is on! If you have no brake lights then it is likely that you have a bad signal switch. Does this truck have a tilt wheel by chance?
