Well i guess i kinda rolled/flipped my pickup today. Backend started to slide and i couldn't stop the slide. Slide toward the opposite ditch, and somehow ended up facing the opposite direction, on the passenger side. I'm just glad I had my seatbelt on.
I could have taken pics but didn't feel like it. Not sure what I got for insurance. Will take pics as soon as I get to see the actual damage. Hard to tell the way it was sitting in the ditch.
I rolled my F-150 last year. I guess the scariest part was that my kids were in the truck with me. They weren't hurt though & I & the truck took the brunt of the beating.
I guess it was more like why me why now. Only had 42K on her. Would have been behind the plow if I had remembered to get some cash from an ATM like I had planned before leaving the apt. the plow went by about 10 minutes after I had wrecked.
same thing happened to me and my friend in his cavalier this summer, he learned alot about overcorrecting! i have hit stuff with the right front of my ranger twice now, so its gettin fixed and sold. its something about me and red vehicles. good thing to know that you had your seatbelt on though, they can really save people.
I started a forum a while back on Ford Trucks R.I.P. I brought it back to the front here if anyone wants to tell their story or provide pics.
Glad no one was hurt. I know I was in a major accident at highway speeds a couple of years ago. Avoided another car on highway and hit an approach and cam to a dead stop. Seat belt kept me from slamming into the steering colunm. I work in a hospital and have seen my share of people with crushed chests and needing tubes to help the lungs.
Sounds like the damage is not too bad and they will be able to fix it. Will see if you get some pics.
That's rough man. I know how it feels, I wrecked my 94, still driving it too. I got pics from my acciden't in the gallery. I learned a little about overcorrecting and why you shouldn't drive on slicks.
That's not too bad. They have to replace the roof skin. The cab does not look like it got twisted or that. The rest is sheet metal repair. Even the windshield did not get broken.
