I see almost everyone uses the supplied cam lube on the cam, and some other type of stuff on the mains, take a close look at the junkyou are using on your crank, and compare it with that cam lube, and see which one stays, and lubes better, if the cam lube is good enough for the highest wear item (on start up anyway) item in your engine don't you think it would be better for the crank, and pistons? Thats why I suggest the clevitte cam, and assembly lube it's the same stuff that comes with your cam just in a bigger bottle, and doesn't cost anymore than moly lube or stp (whcih btw can clog oil passages in lifters, adn oil filters), and moly lube doesn't dissolve well in oil so is floating around clogging things up too.

I've also seen the Clevite Cam Lube used by many shops and like to use it myself.

The clevite cam lube is from a company called torco, the same people that makes racing fuel. This is no doubt the best lube on the market, I have seen less cam wear on the dyno. Used with a 20-50 racing oil, breaking in new race cams has been the stuff!!

I have used a 50/50 oil and stp mixture. I like it for assembiling engines and it is a little thicker plus it is more slippery.
